This year’s annual Father Daughter dance was held on Friday, October 26. Early on in the school year, AHN’s Student Council decides on a theme for the event. For this year’s Hollywood theme, students from all grade levels came decked out in iconic costumes inspired the “silver screen.”
Junior Caroline Lamoureux said, “This is my dad’s favorite night of the year. We look forward to this event so much. This year’s theme was awesome because it allowed everyone to do their own thing but still be part of the group. This year was the best one yet.”

Prior to the dance, students followed the tradition of voting on “Foxy Father”. This year three Seniors’ fathers contributed to the contest, with a photo of them in their high school years.
This year’s Foxy Father contestants were #1) Isabella Bahr’s (’18) dad, #2) Olivia Fernandez’s (’18) dad, and #3) Audrey Gabbard’s (’19) dad.

Senior Isabella Bahr said, “It was very cute to see how excited my dad was to win Foxy Father, because he had already won when my sister was a Senior. I also didn’t tell him so he was kind of confused.”

As dinner finished up, time rolled around for the costume contest. The fathers and daughters who felt they had a unique costume were asked to come to the front of the dance floor. The winner was decided based on the amount of applause their costume received.
