With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, the clock is ticking to find that perfect gift. While buying a box of store bought chocolates may seem like the easiest route, making homemade treats is surely the best way to show your affection.

Making homemade gifts normally comes across as tedious process that only “Pinterest Moms” have time to create. While these treats may look impressive, they are definitely an simple way to show your affection to whomever may be receiving it.

From truffles to pies, there are many different types of desserts on this list that can cure any sweet tooth. This Valentine’s Day, put your heart into the holiday with a themed sweet.

 

Mini Heart Hand Pies

Ingredients

  • 1 box Refrigerated Pie Crust
  • 11 oz Cherry Pie Filling
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • White Sugar
  • Heart shaped cookie cutter

 

Red Velvet Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix, prepared according to instructions
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz white chocolate chips
  • topping of your choice

 

Mini Heart Shaped Churros

Ingredients

  • 3 slices of slightly stale bread
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tablespoon milk
  • A few drops of vanilla
  • Dash of salt
  • 2 Tablespoons butter for frying
  • 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar
  • ¼ Teaspoon of cinnamon
