Multimedia Editor Adrianan James-Rodil is an Academy junior and second year staff writer for the Achona. When not writing stories or managing Achona’s social media pages, James-Rodil can be found practicing for Speech and Debate competitions, studying for her Advanced Placement classes, or fulfilling her duties as recording secretary for Academy’s Student Council.Outside of school, James-Rodil remains active, constantly working out and participating in physical activities. When her ACL is not torn, James-Rodil plays tennis competitively at Gildemeister Tennis Academy as well as with AHN’s tennis team. She loves both the mental and physical aspects of the game, and believes she plays better when a larger audience is watching. Her passion for community service can be seen through her involvement within Academy’s social justice club, as well as in her mission trip to Scranton, Pennsylvania last year. Along with volunteer work, James-Rodil strives for justice. She strongly supports worldwide access to women’s education, as well as an end to gun violence in American schools. After graduation, James-Rodil plans to attend university in a large city - specifically Boston, New York, Chicago, or San-Francisco - with an undecided major. Her career interests following college range from law, fashion, and journalism. James-Rodil brings her white hydro flask everywhere she goes, constantly binge watches “Grey’s Anatomy”, and is always listening to Tayor Swift's new album,“Lover”.
