Adriana James-Rodil
Adriana James-Rodil is a first year sophomore staff writer, and she looks forward to incorporating her ideas in an endeavor to keep the Academy community informed about  relevant events. She is involved in various clubs at the Academy, including her role as sophomore representative in Student Council and her membership in Speech and Debate. Outside of school, she plays competitive tennis year round, competing in tournaments, and attending Hans Gildemeister Tennis Academy. When she is not showing off her impressive skills with a tennis racket, she can most likely be found making much needed trips to Disney World, considering her intense self-proclaimed Disney obsession. James-Rodil has a fierce passion for the recognition of the wage gap, which occurs between male and female athletes; she wishes to bring awareness to this important issue through the use of her voice as a female athlete. College looms as an intimidating presence in James-Rodil’s life, however, she is trying to focus less on that particular stress and more on both her academic and athletic careers. She aspires to pursue a career as a competitive tennis player, but if that does not work out, she would like to become a Human Rights lawyer, a job description which she feels fits her compassionate personality well. James-Rodil also happens to be an avid music lover, and her favorite song at the moment is “My Love, My Life” from the “Mamma Mia 2” soundtrack.
