It’s time to explore your deepest, darkest black hole –your closet. Take a peek behind your hangers and see what has been neglected. If you manage to sort through and see you have quite a few things you no longer wear, there may be hope.
Take a look back there and find your eighth grade graduation dress and freshman year formal dress. You may look at it and think, what was I thinking? Or maybe you think, I wish I could still zip it! Whatever the reason may be, you don’t wear the dress anymore. But don’t disregard your old friends – there may be a place for all of them.
Put together your old dresses –formal or casual for a cause – and donate them (or any that belong to your sisters, friends, or moms) to Sports for Girls. Each dress you donate will be priced at a discounted price for students who are looking for dresses for the upcoming Homecoming season. Perhaps you may find a deal yourself, or maybe help someone out who can’t afford a dress at full-price.
All of the profits made from selling the discounted dresses will benefit Seeds of Hope. Seeds of Hope is an organization that assists the people of the Dominican Republic. The people of the Dominican Republic have to fight for basic necessities. Your dress not only will provide happiness for a Tampa girl, but benefit a family in La Victoria, Dominican Republic.
If you search your closet and realize there is not something to donate, look down at your shoes and accessories drawer. To help the girls accessories with their new dress, we will also be selling discounted accessories (shoes, bracelets, purses, etc.).
Touch the hearts of someone here in your home town and someone miles away with the simple donation of a dress. If you realize you have a dress or accessories to donate, please contact [email protected] or drop the dress off at Sports for Girls: 4045 S. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL 33611.
