Pets are an important part of any family, for most people the family pet is another member of the family. Among the many things that Academy seniors are preparing to say good-bye to is their pets. Tearfully, Seniors remember what they will miss the most about their furry friends before leaving for college. In most cases, Seniors plan to leave for college within the next three months for summer session.
Maria Zeno and Adri Torres are both the owners of Fender Zeno, yet the two sisters take polar opposite positions on leaving behind their furry friend.
“I am honestly not going to miss Fender that much, we were never that close so my life really won’t change without him,” states Maria Zeno ambivalently.
“I hang out with fender everyday so it’s gonna be weird and I’m gonna miss him a lot,” Adri Torres says sadly.
Senior Miranda Plummer has had her black lab/great dane, Bruce Wayne, for four out of his six years. Miranda and Bruce have been inseparable ever since, they love to do regular activities and errands together.
Natalie Cevallos has had Riley and Ringo Cevallos for six years. They are maltese and havenese and Riley is playful and cuddly. Ringo hates being held and has bitten before, yet he is obedient when he feels like it.
“Riley is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We get each other. I’m gonna miss having my dog wake me up every morning. I love them so much and I’m definitely going to FaceTime them and make my mom send me pictures of them,” states Natalie.
Academy seniors look forward to the time remaining with their pets. Although the time is limited, Seniors will be able to FaceTime and visit their loved ones during holidays and breaks.
