A Weekend At SASC (Video)

Credit: Olivia Fernandez/Achona Online Established in 1932, SASC an association of fifteen states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Early in the morning on Thursday, October 18, 2018, four members of Student Council joined moderator Jenny Van Pelt for the 2018 SASC conference in Summerville, SC. SASC or The Southern Association of Student Councils is an association of fifteen Southeastern states that provides both high school and middle school student council members with opportunities for networking, building leadership skills, and sharing ideas. The Annual SASC Conference, is hosted by the SASC President school each year and brings together more than a thousand student leaders and advisors for three days of leadership training and idea sharing. This year’s conference was held from October 19-21 at Cane Bay High School.
