Long Weekend Activities of AHN Students
September 6, 2019
The forecast for Labor Day Weekend 2019 was looking pretty gloom at the start of the week. There was news of a tropical storm in the Atlantic and throughout the week it quickly mutated into a category 5 hurricane which was believed to be headed to the East Coast of Florida. Although Tampa would not suffer a direct hit, the entire city began stocking up on water and gas stations even started to run out of gas. Due to this panic, Academy closed on Tuesday to brace for the weather conditions. Florida was in luck though, the hurricane changed its path and just brushed past the East Coast of the state. This change in the course of the hurricane allowed for an extra long weekend for the students of the Academy, which ended up being very eventful.
