An Ideal Schedule
October 16, 2020
Dear Achona,
What is your ideal day schedule?
Dear Anonymous,
As an overcommitted junior, my schedule is often rather hectic — what with academics, extracurriculars, and the beginnings of collegiate preparations. However, if given the opportunity, I’d prefer if my days could run in a manner similar to the schedule presented below:
6:00 a.m. – wake up and work out: I absolutely adore mornings and often enjoy energizing myself prior to class to ensure I am fully awake.
6:45-7:15 a.m. – get ready and leave for school: my commute to school isn’t terribly long; however, I find (potential) tardiness to be incredibly stressful.
8:00 a.m.-2:40 p.m. – school: school is frankly a staple within my day-to-day schedule; therefore, it ought to be incorporated as such.
3:00-3:15 p.m. – decompress I: honestly, this time frame is merely an interlude in which I do nothing.
4:00-6:00 p.m. – extracurriculars (of some sort): dependent upon the day, I will either be partaking in a sport or a club.
6:30-8:00 p.m. – homework and family time: ideally, I’d prefer if my ratio of time spent doing homework was equal to that of time spent with my family.
8:30-10:00 p.m – decompress II: to conclude my day, I’d love to have time to either read or catch up on a favorite television series.
10:00- some time p.m. – get ready for bed: rather self-explanatory.
It may feel as if we, as minors, have very little say in our day-t0-day schedules. However, it’s imperative to note that only we have the ability to determine what does and does not make us happy. If your schedule does not agree with your well-being, change something!
