One spin off has already been made from That’s So Raven. It starred Kyle Massey, who played Raven’s little brother, and was called “Cory in the House”.

The former Disney Channel actress Raven-Symoné recently announced that Disney Channel will do a spin-off of That’s So Raven focusing on Raven as a divorced mother of two pre-teens, Nia and Booker. Nia, a middle schooler, discovers she has the same abilities to see the future as her mother. The sequel is currently unnamed, but Raven Symoné has been calling it That’s So Raven 2

That’s So Raven was a popular tv show airing on Disney Channel from 2003 to 2007 and centers around a teenage girl named Raven who discovers she has psychic abilities while juggling teenage life with her best friends, Eddie and Chelsea.

Disney Channel executive vice president Adam Bonnet claims, “Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in That’s So Raven is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her, and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”

Casting is currently underway for Raven’s two children. Nia’s character is a confident and bold pre-teen just entering middle school. She has good intentions but often ends up in trouble. Booker is an innocent, sweet mama’s boy and is described as a “young Donald Glover type.”

Junior Grace Wipfli comments,“I’m really excited, but I hope it’s as good as it was when we were little since Disney has changed a lot since we were kids.”

Disney Channel’s work with spin-offs such as Girl Meets World from the 90s’ Boy Meets World makes expectations for That’s So Raven 2 very high. As the new show comes to life, everyone from children to teenagers is excited and hope Disney Channel does it justice.
