With their creative styles and vibrant colors, Lululemon manages to make its way into the hearts of active women. Though the brand tends to not be so wallet- friendly, the premium quality of the apparel cannot be denied.

In addition, Lululemon wants to promote a community that is connected. One that pushes each other to reach new limits and one that supports each other along the way. They have started a campaign “With Open Hands and Open Heart” that promotes this. In many ways, this campaign is similar to what we are taught at the Academy- to reach for the moon and knowing if you miss you’ll land on the stars.

In a blog post by Jedidiah Jenkins, ambassador for Lululemon, he gives his ideas for the otherwise known, #UnitedStatemovement.

Jenkins explains, As a nation, I think we need a deconstruction of ‘they’ and a meditation on ‘we’—an active pursuit of a relationship, the one that we’re all in together. To “love everybody” and seek to understand; a deep breath and a held hand. And when the divide feels too wide, I think two things are best to remember. Believe that change is possible. Go outside.

He later expands on these two concepts. He explains that in order for the world to improve, people need to full-heartedly believe in this country to end injustice and hate and turn the ship towards striving for love.

Secondly, he urges people to go outdoors. He continues to dare followers to leave their technology at home and talk a walk with their friends may it be through the neighborhood, to a coffee shop, or around the block. He argues and believes that the simple comfort of the outdoors is enough to remind us of the beauty that surrounds this country. Which is enough to facilitate a hope within us in to inspire a loving change in the community of “United State”.

Senior Lululemon enthusiast Anna Padron advocates, “I love the “United State” idea and what that means. I truly believe that many hands make light work and the only way we can make a change is to come together for the greater good.”

Check out participating Lululemon stores for their striking new reusable bags that promote the cause.
