Academy students were in for an unexpected treat at the annual Christmas Concert on Monday, December 10.  Not only did they enjoy the beautiful music of the Quarter Notes, but the surprise addition of a musical impromptu session brought the girls to their feet singing and clapping.

Highlights of the impromptu were solos by Claire Lamoureux, Laura Castillo,  Angelina Oliva, Victoria Martinez, and Assistant Principal Mr. Jack Mullarkey.

The Quarter Notes practice twice a week before school with Musical Director Ms. Linda Ruescher and show up at many important Academy functions to entertain guests.  This year’s group includes Arlyn Barlaan, Ashlyn Bradshaw, Effie Blackshear , Emilie Ulbricht,  Melissa Alvarado,  Valerie Ely,  Juliana Sowers,  Gracie Hancock, Rebecca Parrillo,  Merline Lamour,  Carly Stagg, Ke’Taira Phillips, and Felicia Nelson.  Ms. Melissa Cox is the Performing Arts teacher behind the production.
