Movie on the Lawn

The annual Movie on the Lawn, featuring the movie Polar Express took place this Sunday, December 8. The movie began at 5:30 and lasted until about 7:45.

All the proceeds from this event went towards the senior endowment fund. Tickets were $5 if you purchased them before Sunday, and $8 at the door. The senior class hopes to have the largest endowment fund in the history of AHN to match the largest graduating class of 100 girls.

AHN families and friends crowded onto the lawn with their blankets and lawn chairs to watch the movie. The event was tons of fun for all participants.

Senior Priscilla Vasquez really enjoyed the event, “It was really nice to see the lower school and underclassmen support the Seniors and their endowment fund.”

Polar Express was projected on the AHN lawn, and there were various snacks and food available for purchase. The seniors had so many baked goods left over that they created a bake sale on Monday from the leftovers.

“The seniors all worked really well together to get it done and we were all very pleased with our results,” says senior Margret Shumake.

The senior class thanks everyone that came out to support them!

Senior class president, Hannah McCarthy said it was a,”…Huge success and we raised lots of money! We couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful help from everyone!”

If you missed this year’s Movie on the Lawn, make sure you come out to support next year’s seniors!
