Name a More Iconic Duo … I’ll Wait

Best friends Lizzie Dolan and Lindsay Calka, enjoy ice cream on a hot summer day. Dolan explains, “Lindsay is my person. I go to her for everything.”
A new social media trend is taking over Twitter whereby people tweet a photo of a famous paring of two actors or characters with the caption: “name a more iconic duo… I’ll wait.” These tweets have been getting thousands of favorites and retweets and are commonly duos from movies, tv shows, or celebrity couples.

ACHONA was inspired by this trend and decided to highlight a few of Academy’s own iconic duos.

ACHONA staff members Audrey Diaz and Camille Opp recently went on an ~academic~ ghost hunting excursion with maintenance man, Ralph, and discovered that he has had many paranormal experiences in his time working at Academy.

Delp explains how their friendship started, “We met freshman year, but got close at the beginning of sophomore year. Ever since, we have done everything together. Madi is my go to.”

Due to a sodium deficiency, Spanish teacher Jose Ruano will eat small handfuls of salt throughout the day.
8.Christopher Severini and Kevin Vargas
This duo spends a lot of time together running the Athletic Department at Academy. On certain days, they might even be caught wearing matching outfits.
9. Alyssa Muir and Devin Folkman
Folkman and Muir have been best friends since middle school, and they share a love of playing basketball. Devin shares, “I remember in middle school we had a joint sports themed birthday party. We put our nicknames on a t-shirt that we gave to the entire grade saying ‘Shaqutus and Devster’s Birthday Party.’ We love to look back on our middle school experiences and laugh.”
10. Kerry Keegan and Darcy Dwyer
Keegan and Dwyer spend a lot of time together in the guidance office. From helping with college applications to standardized testing, this dynamic duo is every students go to for all things college related.
11. Riley Rubio and Audrey Dunn
Senior Riley Rubio explains, “We bond over our love for Drake and tagging each other in funny tweets and instagrams. Our parents are the same age, our siblings are the same age, and our families’ personalities weirdly match up. We met at freshman year orientation and it was love at first sight.”
12. Peyton Finn and Ella Castellano
Freshman Finn and Castellano have been friends for a very long time. A close friend of theirs, Olivia Williams, states “Ella and Peyton are a huge duo on my mind. They have done everything together since they were two.”
13. Deborah Collins and Kahoot
