At this point in the year, many high school seniors are hitting the streets for photoshoots as graduating seniors. There are plenty of photographers in the Tampa Bay area to choose from. Students often pick one based on their own personal style or aesthetic. When sending graduation announcements to family and friends, a great photo, and possibly boasting your college colors is essential.

  1. Aubrey Wipfli

Aubrey Wipfli, older sister of Gracie Wipfli (‘18), is a photographer out of New York City attending the School of Visual Arts. However, being that Wiplfi is a Tampa native, she frequently visits Tampa and hosts shoots. In addition to portrait shots, Wipfli has shot photos of music artists like Daniel Caeser, Ty Dolla $ign, Post Malone, and Kehlani.

2. Sarah Modene

Sarah Modene is a senior portrait photographer taking “senior portraits inspired by fashion” out of Tampa, Seattle, and Toledo. Achona senior staff writer, Emily Anderson (‘18), took her photos with Modene. According to Modene’s information page on her Facebook, All sessions are on-location at locations of your choice, and all include professional hair and makeup beforehand. Sarah will help you style your entire shoot, from your outfits and accessories to the locations that complement your style and your personality.”

3. Jennifer Alonso

Local photographer, Jennifer Alonso, is driven by “the ability to capture a candid smile, bottle raw feeling into an image and give back the gift of that memory.” A senior session with Alonso includes a one hour on location session, 30 professionally edited images, and a print release. Longtime friends Mia Lopez (‘18), Audrey Diaz (‘18), and Caitlin Weaver (’18) all took senior portraits with Alonso.

4. Theresa Marie

Photographer, Theresa Marie, explains her passion for photography on her website saying, “wall portraits and tangible keepsakes are timeless, always have been and always will be.”

Macy McConnie (’18), who has worked with Marie, says, “I actually found her junior year and became an intern/editor for Teen Tampa Magazine which was a magazine she wanted to start and get published in the area, so naturally I took my senior pics with her. She is one of the sweetest and most down to earth people I’ve ever met in my life and really wants to exude confidence and sincerity into every one of her seniors and every person she meets. Since she knew me too before my senior pics, it was really fun because we got to have key elements that she knew related to me and my personality, like a barn with my cowboy boots and the wire grass on the beach.”

5. Samantha Lee

Samantha Lee is a photographer in the Tampa Bay area specializing in senior shoots and weddings. A unique aspect of Lee’s brand is her group of senior reps. Each school year, Lee opens an application to high school seniors all around Tampa for the chance to be selected as one of her senior reps. This group of girls, according to Lee’s Facebook, receive “your own Luxe Senior Session in Tampa Bay, four separate modeling opportunities throughout your senior year, and countless other perks throughout one of the most exciting years of your life!”
