Social Justice Hosts Advocacy Tables at Lunch

Sister Lisa Perkowski’s Social Justice class had to complete a project where groups of their class picked out an advocacy issue in society that they want to change. They had to create a Piktochart, write a letter to a Senator discussing the issue, and what they feel needs to be changed in order for the problem to be get better. During lunch, they groups has to get students and faculty to sign their petition for their chosen issue. The topics were safer gun laws, equal pay among men and women, hunger, recycling, human trafficking, poverty, deforestation, and immigration.
