On the morning of January 17, 2020, family, friends, staff and students alike gathered together to celebrate one of Academy’s most notable traditions: Junior Ring. Linking generations upon generations of Academy women together, Academy’s Junior Ring ceremony marks the induction of the Junior class into the Holy Names’s sisterhood as well as officially solidifying their status as an upperclassman.

As with every Junior Ring ceremony, The Achona staff takes time to acknowledge some favorite looks based on different categories, such as best shoes, best hair, most unique, and so on. Along with the Frances Kratz award, which is given to the most bold and/or “out-of-the-ordinary” look, the Achona staff has added a new title called the Princess Dianna award, that is given to a junior who’s outfit best emulates the grace, sophistication, and beauty of Princess Diana’s style.
