On March 31, students at the Academy of the Holy Names started off the week in a festive manner, also commemorating the Senior Class of 2025 as this will be their final pep rally.

In starting off the pep rally, students throughout the grade were randomly selected to participate in competitive challenges and games, with the first being a competition where students had to race against their opponents to reach an egg laid out for them, manage to balance the egg on their spoon back to the starting point, and finally dash towards the basketball hoops to make a free throw before their opponent does.

After the exciting culmination to the pep rally, the next game was musical chairs, but with a twist. When the music stopped, students had to compete against each other to make a free throw into the basketball hoops and manage to return to a chair before they were all filled up.
The next game at the pep rally is musical chairs, with the competition growing more intensely. Senior Sam Castro came out victorious in the game, highlighting the significance of the pep rally, detailing how “being a part of the pep rally was a real energy booster, especially on a Monday. It helped set tone for the rest of the week. I felt just excitement for something I enjoy and am good at and that I was able to put on display for the student body.”
Soon enough, it was time to play Tug of War. After several rounds of the different grade levels competing against each other, the Senior class had managed to become victorious. However, the Seniors soon had to face the teachers. After a tough match, the Seniors eventually lost against the teachers.

With celebrating the Seniors and their last pep rally at Academy, the Class of 2025 was invited into the center of the gym, recognizing their last moments at Academy with a mosh pit.
After the heartwarming commemoration, Senior Ryan Walicek was recognized as the winner of the Rock Paper Scissors Competition after she was victorious against Social Studies Teacher, Chandler Jackson.
Walicek recounted of her joy for her victory, detailing how “winning the Rock Paper Scissors competition was exciting, but the best part was feeling the energy and support from my senior sisters! The pep rally really showed how strong our class spirit is, and it’s moments like these that make our senior year so special!”

Finally, the Seniors lead the school in a rousing sing-along of the Alma Mater before heading off to lunch. Senior, Sofia Genco reflected on the importance of the pep rally saying, “The pep rallies are something special especially in senior year. It’s a chance to come together as a grade and support classmates as they compete to preserve our senior pride.”
