Class of 2025 Honored at Annual Silver Coffee

On Friday, May 16, the Academy of the Holy Names proudly hosted its annual Silver Coffee event, a heartfelt celebration marking the seniors’ official induction into the Academy’s alumni association. This honored tradition has been happening for over 90 years, bringing together generations of Holy Names sisters for a morning filled with joy, reflection, and connection.

Mariana Guzman said, “This was such a fun event, and I am so glad I got to celebrate with all my sisters as the last Silver Coffee for our family.”

The event began in the welcoming space of the Brady Center, where seniors and their mothers gathered alongside past alumni, faculty, and school administration. The room held warm conversations, laughter, and shared memories as attendees enjoyed a delightful spread of coffee, tea, and light refreshments thoughtfully prepared to honor the occasion.

Following the social gathering, the class of 2025 proceeded to the chapel for the formal induction ceremony. In this sacred setting, seniors were officially alumni, symbolizing a significant milestone as they transition from students to lifelong members of the Holy Names family. The ceremony was uplifting and featured inspiring words from seniors and faculty, touching on moments of reflection.

“Silver Coffee was so special to me because I got to celebrate with my mom and cousin. It showed me how important it is to always remember the family I have back home at Academy,” said Katie Pearson (A’25).

The Silver Coffee event continues to be a beloved tradition that honors the Academy’s legacy while celebrating the bright futures ahead for its seniors. The class of 2025’s participation in this meaningful ceremony welcomed them into a vibrant community that will support and inspire them for years to come.
