AHN’s senior Adriana Trapuzzano (‘26) created her own line of clothing, Jolie the Label. The clothing brand started as a vision and is now a business.

She is always wearing clothes from other brands and one summer day she had a vision of creating her own. She believes that wearing something you create is so cool. So, she set this vision into action.

She got her inspiration from not being able to find clothes she actually liked. She started sewing her own clothes but just for fun and nothing serious. As the summer days went on, she later realized that she truly enjoyed doing this. After this realization she knew she could make a business out of this.

Trapuzzano said, “I wanted to make something that was mine.”

The name of the business has been created after lots of thought and time. Her middle name is Jolie, which means “pretty” in French. Her brand truly embodies the meaning behind the name. She believes that everyone is beautiful in their own way and when they wear this clothing it does show.

Not everything has been easy in the creating of her business. She works on creating new forms of payment and easier access to view her line of clothing. She accepts CashApp or Venmo and works with coustomers to accept different forms of payment if local. Since her information is all on Instagram, if one has any questions, they can DM her directly.

Trapuzzano said, “The more you make a mistake the more you will grow from it.” In this she means that everything is about trial and error. She is trying to see what works best and was does not, then she will move forward from there. This business is some new and that she has never done before, but is trying to learn along the way.

Since Jolie the Label is a new business, she is working with friends to reveal her brand and gather publicity. She took photos around Tampa to model what the clothes look like and how one can style them. She did not do this alone, but had one of her friends, AHN senior Maddie Sobel (‘26). Sobel and Trapuzzano worked together to improve the brand’s instagram with aesthetic photos and new information.

She plans to continue this business in many ways. She has gotten multiple requests to do college apparel. In doing so, she will take requests of any college and create a design out of it.

Sobel said, “Adriana’s clothes are super stylish but also feel really personal. She puts part of herself into every piece. Her business is more than just fashion, it’s about confidence and creativity.”
