Academy of the Holy Names is always celebrating different holidays, events, and special days throughout the school year. Since the fall season has begun all the festivities went full blast.

Even though the Florida weather has still decided to feel like summer, the trees will soon be turning orange and the heat will fade away as the leaves fall. From pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks on the drive to school, to Harry Potter nights spent on the couch at home with popcorn in hand, the fall vibes are in full spring.

Movies are always a must. Fall movies provide the perfect amount of comfort and warmth. Movies are a good way to get people together that enjoy the same things. Senior Evie Nessler is one who always knows how to find a good movie.

Nessler (‘26) said, “So I love the Harry Potter movies for fall. They give such fall [Halloween] vibes. “Prisoner of Azkaban” is my favorite. Every fall season, I do a whole Saturday rewatch, sometimes with friends or family. I love fall and these movies just give that vibe.”

Something that brings more comfort than movies would have to be food. Tasting different foods from the different seasons throughout the year. Senior Ava Radiovic loves indulging in pumpkin coffees.

Radovic (‘26) said,“This year I got to have the Perfect Press’ pumpkin spice latte, and it is by far the best one I’ve had. I like it when it is not too sweet.”

Fall clothing is a necessity as well. Mia Urquhart loves fashion, especially the fall season. The comfort of the clothes makes for a perfect cozy day enjoying the weather. She creates different outfits depending on the weather and comfortability.

Urquhart (‘28) said, “My favorite fall clothes are cozy sweaters that are perfect for chilly days and cute boots that are comfortable and make the outfit cute. I love how these pieces make me feel both cozy and ready for the season.”
