Academy is expected to turn out in droves this weekend to support the Drama Department’s fall play, Like Me, which runs from Friday through Sunday, November 16-18, in the Brady Center.
The show is an original cabaret comprised of seven vignettes about the ups and downs of being a young woman: from “out-growing” your best friend, to the uncertainty of what happens after college, and even exploring our personalities through fashion.
Interspersed throughout, the audience will enjoy both new and well-loved Broadway songs, such as “Popular” (Wicked) and “How Lovely to be a Woman” (Bye, Bye Birdie).
The cast, directed by Ms. Melissa Cox, includes Arlyn Barlaan, Amanda Bell, Nasya Blackshear, Ashlyn Bradshaw, Valerie Ely, Gabby Henderson, Lexi Nieto, Rebecca Parrillo, Emilie Ulbricht, Sofia Varon, and Meghan Wallace.
