The professional makeup artist, Jaclyn Hill, started off making youtube tutorials in 2011 and has now made it big in the makeup world. When Jaclyn first started off, some of her earliest videos were inspired by Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. She has now collaborated with “BECCA Cosmetics” to create a highlighter named Champagne Pop that is sold at Sephora. Jaclyn has made many videos with unlimited types of makeup looks such as holiday, celebrity inspired, and casual. Her videos are often an inspiration for Academy prom, formal, and homecoming looks. Senior, Gillian Anthony exclaims, “Whenever dance season comes up, I always watch her videos and then screenshot my favorite videos to show my makeup person for inspiration.”

Jaclyn lives in the heart of Tampa in Harbor Island and has often been caught by Academy girls at the mall shopping in Sephora and Mac. Senior, Jaime Jurado comments, “I am a huge fan of Jaclyn and was starstruck when I saw her at the mall. I didn’t say anything to her in person, but I wanted to ask her to do my makeup for Formal.”

A personal favorite of many Academy girls is the video “Daytime Glam For Every Woman- Makeup Tutorial.” This video is a casual, everyday look that we all try to achieve. Sophomore, Kelsie Killian admits, “I have tried to do this same look on myself many times and it never seems to look like hers. She is a goddess when it comes to make up.”

The Youtube star is an inspiration to us all. When asked for personal makeup appointments, her assistant replied that she no longer does other people’s makeup and solely focuses on her career.
