Jaguarettes cheer crowds at halftime

The Academy Dance Team bring their moves to all home AHN sports events.  This talented team performs at the volleyball and basketball halftime game breaks, as well as other functions in the community and state.   After their appearance at Spike and Splash, the next night on  October 6, the Jags performed at half time at their first college sporting event, hosted by the  University of Tampa Women’s Soccer Team.

Formed and coached by Ms. Stefanie Rotolo only six years ago,  this award-winning team continues each year to demonstrate top-notch dance technique and choreography. From turns to toe-touches, the girls work hard at making half time a performance to remember, whether at Academy or University of Tampa.

The Jaguarettes Dance Squad includes the following talented Academy students:  Seniors Meaghan Wehle, Captain; Olivia Obregon, Co-Captain;  juniors Anna Cevallos, Demi Curbelo, O. Rae Knopik, Jane Lazzara, Annie Polo, Sarah Shakespeare; sophomores Rachel Astorquiza, Abena Baffoe-Bonnie, Madeline “Maddie” Cahill, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Emmanue, Theresa Lopez, Hannah McCarthy, Natasha Rahim;  freshmen Cristina Baldor, Lauren Calka, Claire Cardillo, Christina Castellana, Madeleine Morris, and Gabriella “Gaby” Ruiz.
