Academy students have been called to email their photos of Academy life to Echoes staff members. Answer the call now and send your photos to [email protected]!
Photo memories are an important part of publishing a student yearbook. Each year Academy students work diligently on recollecting almost every memory happening in and around campus as well as off campus. This year they are supported by new AHN faculty member Sr. Lisa Perkowski who spends a great deal of her time in guiding the editors, checking proofs, overseeing ad collections and helping Journlism I students catch up with the advanced skills of the Journalism 2 and 3 students.
Senior Anna Cevallos has found her job as one of three co-editors for the yearbook a challenging one. “Yearbook normally only has one class period a day. This year we are split in two classes. This split makes the process of completing a yearbook much harder for us because we are not all in one class.”
Besides the challenge of communicating across two classes, Cevallos notes that the Echoes staff also has the challenge of enlisting the help of Academy students to email photos for inclusion in the yearbook. “Echoes cannot only rely on photographs taken by its staff and the Achona staff. It needs photos from anyone willing to give them photos. Every student takes photos recording daily life. Why not record that memory in a yearbook?”
Co-Editor Allie Mangan agreed that photos are the bain of the yearbook staff. “We just want photographs. We are always in need of photos, and every photo is used!”
Academy students, rise to the challenge and email your photos to [email protected]!
