Each spring, AHN’s Teen Leadership Council hosts an extravagant two-day bake sale and raffle to raise funds for a local community organization. For the past few years, TLC has donated the event’s revenue to St. Peter Claver Catholic School. This year’s Mardi Gras-themed bake sale and raffle was successful and allowed TLC to donate $250 to the school.
Julie Jenkins, St. Peter Claver’s Director of Development, recently and graciously accepted the contribution. “This donation will help fund the school’s new science lab.”
TLC member Alex Diaz thanked AHN faculty and students. “Their consistent participation in our fundraising efforts benefit the continued growth of St. Peter Claver School.”
School Counselor Mrs. Debbie Labrano enjoys the fundraiser because the school holds a special place in her heart. “We picked St. Peter Claver Catholic School to benefit because Academy has a unique relationship with the school. Our fundraiser and the work we put into it means a lot to us because we are able to help out a fellow school in need of assistance.”
