AHN is composed of students who are considered “inspiring.” As seen in 18 Inspiring People Under 18 Part One, although the young women are in different grades, they have qualities that make them an inspiration to all. Below is the next nine students who stand out as “inspirations” on campus:

Anna Marie Yatsula

Senior Jenna Wiley believes Anne Marie Yatsula is an inspiration at Academy because “she is very true to herself and is confident in who she is, which I think is hard to do in high school.”

In addition to her confidence, Wiley notes Yatsula’s passion about her interests, “especially jail,” make her increasingly more inspiring.

Wiley adds “I think she is a very unique person and a really great person to have on your side, no matter the situation.”

McKenna Weathers

Junior McKenna Weathers is one of many inspiring juniors according to senior Lindsay Calka. The senior specifically pointed out Weathers’ recent involvement in the three-day walk for breast cancer.

Calka states “She is doing the three-day walk and I want to ask her about it, but I haven’t yet. My fifth-grade teacher did it because she had breast cancer and I think it’s so amazing she [Weathers] is starting so young.”

The senior admires the junior’s dedication to raising money and spending three days to walk for the cure. In addition she admires Weathers’ maturity and reliability, something she’s witnessed through the junior’s involvement in the Teen Leadership Council.

“From an everyday standpoint, I feel she really embodies the AHN motto!” Calka exclaims.

Keri Kelly

Keri Kelly is a familiar name to the Achona staff. The editor-in-chief, according to fellow senior Abby Morris, is quite the inspiration to all.

“She’s very involved in both school in out of school. She’s on Mayor’s Youth Corps, she rows, and she has phenomenal grades. If I ever need help I know she’ll be there, even if that means sacrificing her own time. She’s also very humble. ”

Abby Morris

Senior Abby Morris’ exciting and happy attitude is not only her most memorable quality, but it contributes to the reasoning behind why she’s such an inspiration.

Sophomore Charlotte Carl believes Morris’ “positivity always radiates to everyone around her. She brightens up every room she walks into. Abby is always so sweet and such a great inspiration and role model to everyone around her!”
