AP European History Told Through Memes

February 25, 2021

From the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution, the 2020-2021 AP European History class has covered a long span of time in a little more than a semester.

AP European History Teacher Damian Wulff said, “What’s shaped European history most, in my view, are the human needs to survive and feel safe. Almost everything is fundamentally about one or both of those ideas.”

Anna Anderson (‘23) said, “I mostly enjoyed learning about the Renaissance and all the different art in that time period.”

Martina Bain (‘23) said, “The Industrial Revolution chapters are definitely the most influential, in my opinion, because it gives a lot of the background for the modern-day things that we have, and I think the past chapters are less relatable. Seeing where the worker laws came from, where the inventions stemmed from and how they were made is super important in the commercial and mass-produced world that we live in.”

The European History memes in the video below are organized chronologically.
