Gigi Alfonso, Sophomore Staff Writer

Gigi Alfonso is an Academy sophomore, first-year staffer for the Achona Newspaper. She has a passion for history because we can learn where we come from and how to learn from past mistakes in order to become better people. She enjoys watching the History channel to educate herself more.  In school, Alfonso is the treasurer of the theater club. Out of school, Alfonso dabbles in piano, violin, and dance. When she isn’t crazy busy with all her extracurricular activities, Alfonso enjoys watching musicals, eating weird food combinations, such as Hawaiian rolls and ketchup, and playing cool math games. Alfonso is most excited to be an Achona staff writer this year. For fun, Alfonso loves memorizing things such as, the back of the Chipotle bag and the end of George Washington’s farewell address. Alfonso’s favorite movie on Netflix right now is "Les Miserables". Alfonso hopes to one day attend the University of Florida or an Ivy League school. Her dream job would be to work as a lawyer.
