After campaigning competively all week, on Wednesday, March 21, Student Council elections took place in the Brady Center during long homeroom.  Each candidate either gave a speech or a video presentation about why she believed she was the most qualified for the position.

After all the votes were counted, the student body elected Madison Allen as President, Ashton Hill as Vice President, Mollie Synder as Treasurer, Maddie Cassidy as Recording Secretary, and Rachel Astorquiza as Corresponding Secretary.

Madison Allen,  Meagan Gonzalez and Meghan Wallace entertained students with videos that exemplified the personalities and accomplishments of the three girls.

Ashton Hill and Sarah Shakespeare were the two candidates for Vice President.   Hill gave a speech and concluded it by singing her own rendition of “Call Me Maybe.”  Shakespeare also recited her version of a Dr. Seuss poem about her plans and qualities.

Hannah McLaughlin and Mollie Synder competed for the treasurer position. Maddie Cassidy ran for recording secretary unopposed, and Rachel Astroquiza also ran unopposed for corresponding secretary.
