Sixty-six seniors from the Class of 2012 will be joining forces with Spiderman and Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando late Saturday night during Grad Bash.
Seniors and chaperones knew in advance that they might face two slight challenges concerning district crew competitions and a stormy weather forecast. Four senior crew members will be competing in the Districts race earlier in the day, which should finish on time unless there are weather delays. Back-up plans have been made with Universal for parents to drive their students to the event if necessary.
Another concern on seniors’ minds were the possibilities of thunderstorms. With Florida’s unpredictable weather, the girls hope thunder and lightning will pass by quickly or make its way around Orlando.
Universal annually opens both theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, on select nights to graduating high school students for a night filled with thrills and fun. Seniors will have full access to all rides and attractions until two in the morning.
The celebration also features exclusive dance zones and live musical performances by international pop stars Pitbull and DJ Khaled.
Chaperones will enjoy perks as well, including Express ride access, free admission, and complimentary lounges and food. The chaperones accompanying the Academy soon-to-be graduates will be Mrs. Edie LeBas and her husband, Ms. Judy Perrella, Ms. Danielle Groenen, and Mrs. Edna Swafford and her husband.
