At the same time,  Meagan Gonzalez and Alexandra Viso were named National Hispanic Scholars in the National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP), sponsored by the College Board.  Gonzalez, who was announced two weeks ago as a semifinalist for National Merit Scholarship Award, serves on Student Council and as Captain of the AHN-Jesuit Cheerleading Team.  She  is active in community service, including the Mayor’s Youth Corps and National League of Cities.  Recently she was selected Young Woman of Promise by the Athena Society.

Viso,  also a member of the AHN-Jesuit Cheerleading Team, serves as President of Teen Leadership Council (TLC) and a mission leader for the Dominican Republic Mission Trip. Both she and Viso are members of NHS, Ro Alpha History Honors Society, and Mu Alpha Theta Math Honor Society.
