Donald Trump will be inaugurated on January 20.

President-elect Trump is known for his success in business and is unable to focus on both our country and his businesses at the same time. Trump’s empire of nearly 500 businesses consists of business both in the United States and Internationally. Trump can not maintain those and the presidency. After much controversy, Trump has announced that he will be handing over the businesses to his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.

According to a Wall Street Journal articleTrump will be making a trust under the control of his eldest sons Eric and Donald Jr. and other Trump executives in order to avoid conflicts during his presidency. Under the trust, Trump agreed to play no role in the Trump organization since he will be completely blocked from the management side of the company. All profits from Trump hotels will also be donated to the U.S. Treasury.

Sophomore Megan Scanlan says, “I am not surprised that Trump’s sons are taking over the business. I hope that he will stick to his promise and keep secret knowledge from them.”

Before this arrangement, both Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr.had the position of executive vice president of development and acquisitions. Eric Trump graduated from Georgetown University and Donald Jr. graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. Both brothers joined the billion dollar company soon after competing their studies.

“Although many people still disagree, I think that Trump hiring an attourney ensures that there are no laws broken,” says freshman Audrey Boos.

The public has been concerned about Trump’s decision on his real estate. An attorney named Sheri Dillon has been hired to enforce strict rules and regulations so that Trump does not make biased decisions based off of his own self-profit.
