Brianna Wharton has the distinction of being the one senior honored at the Basketball Senior Night game, held at Academy against Academy at the Lakes at 7 pm on January 25.
Brianna has been a valuable member of the Varsity Basketball team as a veteran team leader, as well as on the court.
“As the only senior it is more emotionally and mentally difficult not to be sharing the experience with someone in my class, especially on Senior Night. However, I truly respect and appreciate my younger teammates, as well as those on JV. I also thank them, my coaches, and Mr. Vargas for such a great season this year. Fortunately, my final season will not end at SeniorNnight because we’re going to be hosting Districts, and I’m confident we’ll place highly. Hopefully we will do well in regionals to follow.”
