Gigi Luka, Junior Staff Writer
Gigi Luka is an Academy junior, a first-year journalist, and the president of Latin Club. She is also a thespian who participates in both Academy and Jesuit theatre, serves on the Lead Committee, contributes to the literary magazine, and is a youth mentor at her church. While balancing a busy schedule, Gigi’s favorite subject is Latin, and she is currently enrolled in AP Latin. Although she feels nervous juggling multiple AP classes, she is looking forward to many privileges of being an upperclassman, including Junior ring, Kairos, and writing about her passions in Achona. In her free time, Gigi enjoys crocheting, watching TV, going to the gym, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite song is “Buzzcut Season” by Lorde, and she dreams of traveling to New York City, where she hopes to live one day. Right now, her top college choice is the University of Michigan, where she aspires to study film, television, and media. When asked about her favorites, Luka shared that her favorite movie is “Now You See Me” and her favorite restaurant is Johnny Rockets.
