“Welcome to to Grey’s Academy”  These are the words that appeared on a banner at the front of AHN on May 2, traditionally known as Senior Prank Day. The Class of 2013 pulled off an impressive prank using the theme from the popular television program Grey’s Anatomy. So naturally, the entire high school grounds forwent a complete transformation into an emergency room.

The  prank included an x-ray room in the Junior Locker area, a heart-jerking nursery in the Freshman room, and a psych ward for the sophomore class. Seniors managed to frighten all who entered the second floor bathroom with a zombie mannequin emerging from the tile. Even the science wing was transformed into a “Cloning Ward”. Class of 2013 topped off their the prank by walking into the Academy ER with realistic blue scrubs.

Rave reviews ensued from underclasmen, teachers and staff.  Senior Class Moderator Mrs. Amy Kafantaris echoed the compliments from all sides. “This class came through on this one. The prank was creative, funny and well executed. I am proud of the girls.”

Right at 3:15 a roar of stomps echoed throughout the halls from the fourth to the first floor and the grads ran through the halls and out the front door. Then up the stairs to the bridge and then down the stairs to the other half of the campus, not stopping for air, the girls made their  dives into the AHN swimming pool. Their run ended with a splash in the AHN pool and smoothies provided by the student council.

And so goes another year of Academy seniors who add their class to the Hall Run of 2013 in a long line of seniors who have shared joy and hard work in their years at Academy.  All Academy seniors agree that this will be a celebration to remember.
