The thermometer is rising, which means it is summer time in Florida. As with any change of season, there is a change in style. Judging by what the stores are selling, there are definitely some new style trends for the summer.

Since it’s hot and humid, it is okay to show a little skin, just not too much. The best thing to do is keep it classy. Crop tops are another big trend yet again this year. These shirts are essential to any girl’s closet. A crop top is great when paired with a skirt or a high-waist pair of shorts. Freshman Kendall Bulleit says, “usually wears high-waist jean shorts with a crop top for a casual look.”

Tea length skirts are beginning to replace maxis this season. A tea length skirt is short: it falls right at your mid-calf. These flowing creations are a perfect way to keep you cool during summer. Junior Siobhan Lynch loves, “wearing a tea length skirt with either a tank top or crop top and using accessories to dress up the outfit.” These skirts can be found all over at stores such as Nordstrom.

Pastels are popping up all over. These colors like lavender and light blue will look great against sun-kissed skin. Another great thing about pastels is they go great with each other.

A favorite style of many this summer is the Boho trend. Certain stores such as Forever21 have a section online and in the store just for Boho styles. Boho includes different prints and loose fitting clothes.
