It is not often that Academy can celebrate the eightieth birthday of one of its faculty. But on the last day of semester exams, the AHN community took time to congratulate one of its most revered staff members, Sister Lillian Schneider.

Sister Lillian was surprised to find a large contingent of fans waiting for her in front of the Chapel. A short prayer service preceded the festivities, which included three beautifully decorated cakes, a large card filled with written congratulations, and a Christmas money tree, all presented to her by Principal Mrs. Camille Jowanna.

Students who have attended Academy for the last 30 years know Sister Lillian and admire her talent and dedication to Academy. She was either their math teacher or the archivist of Academy history and memorabilia or the dynamo behind the AHN Bookstore operations.

On hand to add their congratulations were Sister Mary Glavin, Sister Anne Turner, Sister Mary Patricia Plumb and Sister Ann Regan.  Sister Ann plans to share photos of the occasion with Sisters of the Holy Names throughout the country.
