Academy’s making a difference in the community
The AHN sisterhood reaches out into the community in their own ways in and out of school, but on Community Service Day, they serve all over the community as one.
On January 28th the girls visited places such as Pinellas Hope, The Spring, Everyday Blessings, Horses for the Handicapped, Mary Help of Christians and many other wonderful service opportunities. They devoted their time by helping serve the homeless food, cleaning and organizing for food banks, washing and cleaning parks and churches to look pristine, and spending time with young children, the elderly, and even horses!
Sophomore Rosa Mauer explains, “Service Day is a wonderful day when we all get together and have fun not only helping others but reaching out and making an impact all over our community.”
With the hustle and bustle of the on going Spirit Week, their excitement and enthusiasm was carried over through the activities of the day and created an aura that can only be genuine.
