2015 Freshmen Student Council Representatives!

On Tuesday, October 17, the Academy freshmen elected one girl from each homeroom as their Freshmen Student Council Representatives. Each year, the girls who choose to run, make a small speech about themselves and sometimes bring in some goodies to win votes.

This year’s Freshmen Student Council Representatives are:

Ashley Dingle

“I wanted to be on student council because everyone in the council looked like they were having a blast during orientation and I really wanted to participate in a huge club to help out Academy of the Holy Names. I wanted to get involved in a club to help others around school.” Ashley Dingle 9

Isabella Thorpe

“I am most excited for the events at school that we, as student council, will “sponsor” and the rallies we get to support and hang with each other at. Yet, I’m most excited for the friendships and bonds that will be created this year because of how much we get to see each other and how much better I will get to know (and love) my sisters in different grades” Isabella Thorpe 9

Olivia Fernandez

“I wanted to be in student council because after orientation, I IMMEDIATELY knew that I wanted to be in it. All of the members just seemed like they were having so much fun and close to each other, and I really wanted to get to know everyone in the school better” Olivia Fernandez 9

“I am most excited about getting involved, and going to events. The rally described in the meeting sounded like a lot of fun, and I look forward to attending a later one. I am very excited to get into the Academy spirit more, and i believe strongly that student council will help with that.” Charlotte Carl 9
