Countdown for Graduation starts this week

This week launches the countdown of senior activities for the Class of 2012. Silver Coffee, which took place on Wednesday, April 18, marked the beginning of many Academy traditional ceremonies.

Mrs. Amy Kafantaris, Senior Coordinator, and senior homeroom teachers, Mrs. Dana Nazaretian, Mrs. Jenny VanPelt, and Mrs. Edie LeBas, put much time and effort into organizing and preparing all of the important senior events. Mrs. Kafantaris focuses mainly on Graduation and its preparation.

“My main project is Graduation. I organize all the caps and gowns, the diplomas, and everything else they will need to graduate.”

Furthermore, Mrs. Kafantaris helps out with the practices of the Baccalaureate Mass, Silver Coffee, and Honors Convocation.

“We have practices for everything and that is why our ceremonies are very beautiful and well-orchestrated.”

The last of her duties as Senior Coordinator involves assisting the organization of Senior Farewell and the Mother-Daughter Luncheon.

Senior Event Schedule:

  • Mother-Daughter Mass & Luncheon (Mother’s Association)
