Kylie’s Lip Kits Break the Internet

Although Kylie Jenner admitted that she got lip injections, she is still capitalizing on the idea that makeup can enhance your lips. She went into the business of creating lip products in the form of the Kylie Lip Kits and has launched her own brand, Kylie Cosmetics.

After working with a team of beauty experts, Kylie developed the perfect shades for her lip kits. These lip kits have been extremely popular, selling out in minutes both times they were released.

There are eight matte lipstick colors: Kourt K, Candy K, Dolce K, Koko K, Posie K, Mary Jo K, 22, and True Brown K. The gloss shads include Like, Literally, and So Cute. There are also metal matte lipstick shades called King K, Heir, and Reign.

Purchasing these lip kits, however, can be very difficult because of their popularity and demand.

Sophomore, Bella Kirkpatrick, gave some advice on getting lip kits.

“I have the Kylie app and I follow all of her accounts like her snapchat and the Kylie Cosmetics Instagram. The Kylie app tells you when the lip kits relaunch. I also had to get on the website right when it was opened.” 

Freshman, Lauren Curtis, was fortunate enough to be able to buy a lip kit before they sold out.

“I love my lip kit because it doesn’t dry out your lips because most matte lipsticks do. It’s also really soft and I like the lip liner a lot”, stated Curtis. 

There are some girls, however, who are not in love with their lip kits.

Junior, Julia Prince, stated “It’s ok. It dries your lips out a lot but it stays for a long time. I’m just not a big fan of it because my lips dry out really easily.” 

Overall, girls have been really happy with their lip kits and would recommend purchasing one. Kylie has already announced that she will be launching new colors, so be on the lookout to buy one before they sell out!
