Celebrate National Writing Day by tweeting #WhatIWrite and retweeting to AchonaOnline or AchonaPoetweets

Calling all Academy family members! Below is the invitation from The National Writing Project and the National Council of Teachers of English , who invite all of us to celebrate National Writing Day (NWD) post on Friday, October 19, with the hashtag #WhatIWrite October 20 is the official date for NWD so keep tweeting/retweeting if you miss out on Friday.

Post what, you ask? Well, could be…

  • Thoughts about what you write, whether it’s poetry, short stories, school essays, computer code, love notes, song lyrics or Facebook updates.
  • A link to some writing you want to show others.
  • A photo or drawing that illustrates something about writing, or illustrates something you’ve written.
  • Thoughts about things you’d like to write someday.
  • Notes on your writing process.
  • Thoughts on the role of writing in your life in general.
  • Advice about writing.
  • Links to good pieces about writers or writing

In other words, it’s a chance to join a global conversation about writing and its place in your life, and you can say whatever you want.

Each time you tweet to the above hash tag, then retweet to AchonaOnline.

OR

If you are a poetic soul, consider writing a 140-character poem and posting to the hashtag above and then retweeting to AchonaPoetweets.

FINALLY, return and post to our NWD Poll:

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
