Sisters of the Holy Names announce logo contest for AHN students

The Sisters of the Holy Names have announced  the opportunity to students in AHN schools to create a common logo for the International Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM).  Deadline for the contest is March 31.

Isabelle Roy, Director of Communications, SNJM, stressed that the message of the design is important.  “As an international organization, we are looking for visuals with universal impact to present a unified image to the public.”

“The logo should express the SNJM charism and the international aspect of the congregation. Remember that the SNJM Congregation is 170 years old. Through the charism SNJMs live a mission of education in faith, action for justice and the full development of the human person, including

–       the SNJM congregation as Christian and Catholic .

–       the elements of the charism – education in faith, action for justice, the full development of the human person, in the names of Jesus and Mary.

–       Finally, the international dimension of its ministries.

The logo should contain more than the letters SNJM and express who the SNJMs for an external and international public who may not know what SNJM means.  The logo could be in color but it will also sometimes appear in black and white.  Because of this it should be attractive in a simple black and white version.

The winning logos will provide the basis and inspiration for the making of the official logo, which will be used principally as a header for official SNJM documents and on different communication tools (such as the web site, Facebook page, publications, etc.).
