Cross Country finishes strong

On Saturday, November 19, the Cross Country team traveled to Dade City to compete in the state meet. Overall, the team placed 14 in the state with some freshmen and sophomore runners placing in the top 90.

Performances by the younger members of the squad predict even better finishes in 2012.  Freshman Colleen Doherty placed fifth overall, sophomore Allie Reichart placed 73rd overall, and sophomore Natalie Hahn placed 90th. The team also had middle school runners, Jaime Jurado, Lulu Barbato, and Mackenzie Miller to help the team in their impressive finish.

Academy President Mr. Arthur Raimo, Mrs. Raimo, and science teacher Mrs. Rebeca Zambrano were on hand to cheer the team from the start to the finish line.
