The 2024 Super Bowl was an unforgettable event with plenty of surprises and excitement. The game was played between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Fransisco 49ers, with the Chiefs coming out on top with a final win of 22-25. One interesting moment of the game was when Travis Kelce, the Chiefs’ tight end, had a heated exchange with the coach on the sideline. Kelce was frustrated with his lack of involvement in the game and demanded more playing time. Social media went crazy over this, especially since the increase in attention he’s been receiving due to his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.

Despite the drama on the sideline, the Chiefs managed to pull off an impressive win against the 49ers. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes was at the top of his game, throwing for 333 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The halftime show was one of the most highly anticipated events of the night, and it did not disappoint. Usher brought the house down with his electrifying dance moves and incredible vocals, performing hits like “Love in this Club” and “My Boo.” The performance featured the Cirque Du Soleil, drawing inspiration from HBCUs and Greek fraternities like Jackson State’s “Sonic Boom of the South” marching band and the Kappas. It effectively paid a fitting tribute to Atlanta, especially its rollerskating culture. It is worth mentioning that the choreography, especially for such a complex performance, can be incredibly challenging, and it was executed properly.

And just when fans thought the surprises were over, Beyoncé sent shock waves through the music industry by dropping two new songs during the halftime show called “16 Carriages” and “Texas Hold ‘Em”. The unexpected release made social media frenzy, especially since they added a more country element to Beyonce’s extended music career. Fans are excited to hear the new music, as she is gearing up for Act II of her Renaissance album to release on March 29th of this year.
