Wednesday mini-courses: From bowling to science

With the departure of eighty students to Epcot Tuesday afternoon, the Academy high school population grew even smaller. However, girls remaining at Academy still looked forward to the lineup of fun activites and courses planned for the rest of the week.

Wednesday provided five courses, three off-campus. Off-campus trips covered activities related to art, science, or recreational activites.

A new group of students traveled to Color Me Mine, so they could have the opportunity to paint pottery pieces. Girls took over the bowling lanes at Pinarama, and celebrated whenever someone got a strike or spare. A large number of students spent the day at MOSI where they learned many information about a variety of science topics. The planetarium was hit with all students.

The few staying on-campus either engaged in a lively Zumba class or interacted with actors from the American Stage Theater Company with their performances of Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
