With the change of weather and new fall fashions, it is clear Thanksgiving is fast approaching!
Thanksgiving is a time to spend with loved ones and enjoy the traditional meals. Most importantly,  Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks.
Academy students shared recently the many things they are thankful for this season.  Junior Natalie Navarro included loved ones on her list. “I’m thankful for my friends and family for always being there for me.”
Junior Madison Nelson said her spiritual life was indeed a gift she did not take for granted.  “I’m thankful for my church and my pastor for always being there for me.”
Haley Ratchford is not  only thankful for the trendy stuff but for sweet treats as well. “I am thankful for Wanelo and candy!”
Senior Alexandra Gerecke added her favorite food and sister in her list of blessings.  “I’m thankful for whole wheat pasta and my twin Christina.”
Overall, there are many things to be thankful for this season and freshman Alejandra Lozano expresses it best. “I’m thankful for my parents, having the chance to be in this school, having best friends already, people who believe in you, God, drama, teachers, extra credit and my iPad.”
So remember to spend time with family and friends during Thanksgiving but do not forget to give thanks!
