Class of 2013 maps out a bright future at college

The 70 members of the 2013 graduating class, all of them college bound, have earned over $8.5 million dollars in scholarships. Acceptances came in from 107 college or universities, which the class narrowed down to 27 final choices.

In addition, about 73% of the class decided to stay in Florida for college, no doubt because of the scholarship money available through the Bright Scholars program.

This year the University of Florida is the number one choice of the Class of 2013, attracting 27% (19) of Academy graduates.

The remaining one-fourth of the class will be attending universities and colleges out of state in Washington D.C., Indiana, New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Louisiana, Tennessee, and Georgia.
