Have you ever been tossing and turning trying to fall asleep? Senior Gillian Dunne definitely has! She complains that she’s “always either too hot or too cold, so to even it out, I stick one leg out of the covers and keep one under”. There are many students at Academy that suffer from this issue, and for various reasons. For Junior Alejandra Pazzi, the reason is: “I always remember my most embarrassing moments when I am trying to fall asleep”. Senior Maddie Matesich has trouble falling asleep because: “I take a nap when I get home everyday, so I stay up late doing homework and don’t end up getting tired until after midnight”. Everyone has experienced the feeling of not being able to fall asleep at least once, and here are some thoughts as to why it happens.
You need to wake up in 6 hours so it’s time to shut down the Netflix and hit the hay.

Every thought has ever come to mind starts piling into your head and you have questions about what happened 5 years ago.

You are now starving and all you want to do is have a 5 course meal.

You’re extremely uncomfortable and you toss and turn for hours.

Did it just get extremely hot in here? It starts to feel like your room is engulfed with flames.

You have finally found a comfortable position but of course, you have to use the restroom

Congratulations, you finally fell asleep!! Too bad its been an hour and you now have to get up.
